10th annual Ramona Bluegrass Festival
Everyone had a great time at our 9th ANNUAL RAMONA BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL last year at our new venue at The Ramona Community Garden.
This year’s festival is our 10th ANNUAL and will go from noon until 7 p.m. and all seven of the bands are outstanding: Blue Creek / High Mountain Road / Gone Tomorrow / Front Porch Music Preservation Society / Prairie Sky / The Shirthouse Band / Ash Street Ramblers
UPDATE* – WEATHER – Looks like we’ll be having a beautiful fall Ramona Day with temps topping out at about 87˚. We have new shaded areas in place for your comfort and enjoyment.
DOG FRIENDLY! – This festival welcomes our canine friends. You must keep them on a leash and make sure and bring those little handy poo bags to pick up after your pet.
FAMILY-FRIENDLY – We’ll have lots of stuff for kids too – like face painting and other activities.
Opportunity Drawings for lots of items, and we’ll be giving away a brand new Deering Goodtime BANJO!
Our well-attended Music Workshops will return again this year . We’ll have Peter Lauderbach teaching Mandolin techniques and a history of bluegrass instruments / The full Blue Creek Band with “How to Practice Effectively, How to Backup and Improvisations and Tips / Kim Blackwell (fiddle), Gary Pay & Ken Simon (Dobro & Guitar) will provide Fiddle basics, chord structures on the fiddle, Pentatonic Chords & basic chops. Stay tuned for more workshops as they get listed here.
We’ll be providing several different food vendors and many other non-food ones too. There will be many varieties of sodas, lemonade, tea, beer, wine and water available as well.
Representatives from other festivals will also be in attendance with info on their festivals.
